We conduct two Sunday morning worship services at 8am (Contemporary) and 11am (Traditional).
The earlymorning worship service is more contemporary in nature. Music is offered by an“Inspirational Ensemble” and “The New Generation Praise Team” which includesvocalists and a praise band comprised of a keyboardist, drummer, bassist, andtrumpeter. The New Generation Praise Team and the Inspirational Ensemble singcontemporary Christian music as well as gospel music. The InspirationalEnsemble, New Generation Praise Team, Nu Praize Teen Group and the Worshippersof Praise liturgical dance ministry, minister primarily during thiscontemporary worship service. The liturgy is less formal and more spontaneousand expressive in nature.
Our second worship service is more traditional in nature. The choralmusic rendered during this service utilizes the church organ and piano. The ChancelChoir, Men’s choir, Women’s choir, Children’s choir and Hand bell choirministers in this traditional setting. The repertoire includes spirituals, anthems, hymns and more traditional church music.
Sermon content for the traditional and contemporary worship service isselected to help believers and “those yet to come,” to apply practicalChristian principles to everyday life. Whether worshipping at the contemporaryor traditional service we strive to be a warm, welcoming community, displayingan attitude of joy and thanksgiving. We believe that our singing, praying, dancing, and preaching is to be done with “energy, imagination and love.” Weseek to be enthusiastic in our worship out of gratitude for what God has donethrough Jesus Christ. Psalm 100 reminds us to “Enter into His gates withthanksgiving, and into His Courts with Praise.” It is to this end that wejoyfully worship the Lord!
